The Mile High Youth Corps Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the appointment of Brigid McRaith to be its next Chief Executive Officer effective immediately.  Currently serving as Interim CEO, Brigid becomes the second CEO in the organization’s 24-year history.  The Board’s action comes with the fullest confidence that Brigid will continue to be an excellent steward of MHYC’s mission and a leader and advocate for Colorado youth.  The Board recognizes that Brigid is an exemplary leader who, with 10 years of experience at MHYC, is the right person to lead the Corps and continue the legacy of helping youth make a difference in themselves and their communities.

“I am deeply honored and humbled to have the opportunity to lead this remarkable organization. MHYC’s innovative programs produce tangible impacts for young adults, our community and the planet.  I look forward to continuing to advance the Corps’ mission in the years ahead,” said McRaith.

Brigid has served MHYC since 2006, first as Director of Programs and then, since 2011, as Regional Director for Metro Denver.  In these positions she has translated the vision and strategy of the Board into nationally recognized results, leading programs to achieve 90% retention rates and 88% college and career placement rates.  During this time she has also developed key strategic public and private partnerships, all while growing the Corps’ important fee-for-service programs.  Finally, programs under Brigid’s management account for 70% of the Corps’ budget, encompassing projects across eight metro counties.

I am excited about Brigid’s appointment; she brings passion, vision and leadership to a dedicated staff and Corpsmember cadre.  Her commitment to the mission and core values of Mile High Youth Corps makes her well positioned to build on the successes of the Corps.

Sincerely,

Tom Chamberlin
